Despite a somewhat lackluster performance by David Wells and the rest of the Red Sox last night, it's certainly a relief to have baseball back!
Over the course of the winter, I read a couple of great baseball books including Moneyball, A Day in the Bleachers, and of course Faithful. It got me by but it's good to have the real thing finally!
Even I am glad to have Baseball Back. Go figure! It will be interesting to see how the city embraces the Nationals for sure, but something in me SO enjoys sitting high up behind home plate watching the Orioles! Did I ever tell you that one year Elliott had my Happy Birthday on that big screen while we were there? THAT was fun. I haven't seen too many pro games live but when I have, it's been so enjoyable.
